Larime Taylor is a disabled mouth artist born with Arthrogryposis and lives in Las Vegas. They are a professional comic book artist, having been published by Image/Top Cow with 2013's A VOICE IN THE DARK, and in the Las Vegas 10/1 Shooting anthology WHERE WE LIVE, which was nominated for an Eisner and won a Ringo.
A VOICE told the tale of college freshman and budding serial killer Zoey Aarons, and Larime did the entire book solo by mouth. Covers from #3 on where colored by their partner Sylv.
They are returning to comics in 2020 as the co-writer of KEEP STARING along with their partner, Sylv. Art for the book is being handled by Jenny Odio. KEEP STARING is a YA story in the vein of STRANGER THINGS and IT, but all of the main teen characters are disabled.
Larime has just begun developing their first comic on which they handle all duties since A VOICE, called SEX ON WHEELS. It's the story of disabled pinup-girl artist Morning Glory "Mo" Schoener, who draws with her mouth like Larime and shares the same birth defect. It's a slice-of-life comic about disability, sexuality, comic and SF convention life, and more. Unlike KEEP STARING, it is decidedly adult.
Larime's day job is as a caricaturist in Las Vegas, which has largely shifted online now due to COVID. You can fing them on Twitter doing caricatures as @xlarimex.
